Twelve teams participated in the tournament – nine teams from Ukraine, two teams from Lithuania and one team from Moldova. Participating teams competed in M50+ and M60+ age categories.

President of Association of Veterans of Basketball of Ukraine (AVBU) Vladimir Karpukhin in his interview said, “We arrived here to honor Nikolay’s memory. Nikolay Bagley, one of the top Ukrainian basketball players, showed true sportsmanship and fair play to whoever he was playing against. Nikolay was driven by a passion for basketball. He dedicated personal contribution to the basketball development in Ukraine and at international level. Now we compete in the sports complex which was built by Nikolay. This tournament is a big holiday for veterans and it is more than just competitions. We appreciate meetings with old friends, sincere communication. We remember tournaments of last years and the interesting moments of matches. Our veterans live and act by “giving a helping hand”. They witness that age is no barrier in the pursuit of excellence and impact other people to live in a positive way through sports. I would like to thank all the competing teams. Many thanks to all who helped to organize the tournament and make it unforgettable again. I believe that Bagley Tournament will continue to grow in the upcoming years”.
